The Language Resource Center (LRC) at St. Lawrence University promotes multilingual proficiency, cultural understanding, and creative media literacy by connecting students, faculty, and community members with innovative technology and immersive learning opportunities. We provide spaces and resources that empower learners to explore languages, create digital media, and engage meaningfully with global cultures supporting the University’s broader mission of preparing students for lives of thoughtful engagement in a diverse and interconnected world.

Mon–Thu 8:30 a.m.–9 p.m. 
Fri 8:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m. | Sun 6:30–9 p.m.

Becoming a member of the LRC community connects you with people, programs, and tools designed to enrich your global learning experience. You can enjoy: - Access to two modern language labs with cutting-edge learning software and global media collections. - Use of the Recording Studio (Carnegie 210) and Viewing Room (Carnegie 211) for projects, presentations, and creative work. - Opportunities to join conversation tables, film screenings, and cultural events. - Collaboration with peer tutors and native speakers through the Polyglot/Language Writing Centers. - Borrowing privileges for media equipment such as cameras, microphones, and laptops. - Updates on new tools, cultural programs, and workshops through CampusGroups announcements. - A community that values global citizenship, inclusive engagement, and lifelong language learning. All St. Lawrence students, faculty, and staff interested in languages, cultures, or media are welcome to join.
